2 Day Weaving Workshop | Warp & Weave | Ballina, NSW | August 2026
Date: Saturday & Sunday August 8th - 9th, 2026
Time: 10:00am - 3pm (1hr break) each day
Venue: Ignite Studios, 60 Crane Street, Ballina. NSW 2478 (adj. to Nth Rivers Community Gallery)
Already done the beginner workshop or just want to jump straight in?
In this 2 day weaving workshop you’ll start with the first step in weaving - warping the loom. We’ll then continue with weaving and finish the weekend with taking your piece off the loom to take home.
What You’ll Experience
• Learn to warp a rigid heddle loom, using the direct warping method
• Receive individual guidance in a small group setting (maximum 6 participants)
• Create your own woven piece to take home
Why Small Group Matters
With only six participants, there’s plenty of time for personal guidance, questions and creative exploration.
You won’t feel rushed.
You won’t feel overlooked.
You’ll have space to experiment and build confidence.
Workshop Details
Duration: 4 hours + 1 hour break (BYO lunch) each day.
Group Size: Maximum 6 participants
Cost: $210 per person
Includes: Use of weaving equipment for the session
What To Bring:
Yarns for weaving & warping. After registering for the workshop you will receive an email which will contain advice on what yarns would be suitable. If you’ve previously done my beginner weaving workshop you know that anything goes for the weaving yarn (weft). For the warp we need to consider a couple of things.
Is This For You?
This workshop is perfect if:
✓ You’ve done my beginner weaving class and want to know more
✓ You’ve been wanting to try something creative
✓ You’re a total beginner
✓ You’re drawn to texture and colour
✓ You want a calm, hands-on experience away from screens
You’ll leave not only with a woven piece, but with the confidence to keep creating.
Spots are limited to 6 and tend to fill quickly.
I’m passionate about helping beginners discover their creativity in a way that feels playful and pressure-free. My workshops are designed to feel welcoming, supportive and inspiring.
